erm Did I say all that fun was happening last Saturday? It didn't. I'll be coming up this Saturday, get in touch if you want the details, but instead I simply recommend just tuning in. Um, to compensate, I will leave you with a comic done by Joey Comeau, because it kinda relates somehow... |

HOO HAA! This is the popping of my "News" cherry. KerSPLAT! SO, we (the royal we) got a new time slot, 2-4PM as you can probably peep from your vantage point, oh surfer of the interweb, you. Also, we are expecting live guests in the form of Miss Emily Brown and the Rough Seas in the month of June. It should prove to be a rollicking good listen. |

still kicking Well, it's been a while, hasn't it. There's been some cool things happening since the Winter semester let out. Hot Carl has taken on the daunting task of filling Alex's shows. She's lived up to the task wonderfully, and much mayhem can be found on the airwaves every Saturday night. These are some of the highlights; * Todi Stronghands, Starla Ubiquitous, the ROugh Sea and Cap n' Cops all came to play one show. * The Crimson Tides and Misty Bazoo and the Moutain Top Valley Bottom Booze Band came and played another show. * I recorded a session with Whitey, too be aired as soon as it gets mixed down. * Cap n' Cops and Spork (and possibly Kettle Black) will be hanging out for tomorrow night's show. I'll try and keep this updated more frequently. We got a myspace page. It seems to do a bettr job of staying current. Sorry. |

sadness of sadnesses It is with great sorrow that I announce the resignation of Alex Pomeroy, my (former) co-host. Apparently, his prospects lie elsewhere. Like Vancouver. Also, apparently his name isn't even Alex!
I, myself will be taking a two-week hiatus, and will continue "hearing noises in the basement" on May 12th, this time trying my new co-host, Hot Carl, out on the ropes. |

globalization and us! Dear kids, I am writing you today to tell you about the fascinating phenomenon of space-time compression, a by-product of something you may have heard of the kids like to call globalization. Through modern technology, I have been able to conduct several band interviews, none of them with people in the same town as myself. Basically, tune in next Saturday for a plethora of interviews with bands performing at the upcoming Canadian Music Week . Such as: Fuck the Facts, Pride Tiger, You Say Party! We Say Die! and The Black Halos With the possibility of others as well.) It's going to be fun, it's going to be interesting and it's going to be low-fi (cos all the interviews are taped from my million year old telephone. And that Alex character, you may ask... He took off for Toronto, apparently. Take care, Jess P.S. I stole the image from Ginga, because he's wonderful. |

Next week and this week So, I didn't tell you in advance about it, but if you tuned in, Nov 1st's show featured and interview with Joey Only and myself done about an hour prior to the show. He is a very awesome guy, and obviously you were all out at his show that night anyways.
In anycase, I've got his new album, so you'll be hearing more of it.
Next week, we will have some live, in studio guests. Trike, a band from Vancouver, will be joining me. They're also playing a show at Le Divan Orange on the 7th, which is a Tuesday. Check 'em out yo! www.trikeaband.com. And that's not all... joining them will be the one and only Fraser MacLean, who has been touring with them. So basically what I'm saying is next week is going to be a lot of fun, folks. |

The First Episode Episode number one happened at an unusual time, due to key availabilities. A couple of technical goof-ups, and a rather quiet host. Come back next week, an hour and a half later and join in the slightly more experienced fun, okay kids? |
