About Our Staff

CJLO is powered by a team of very talented people. Learn more about them!

Stephanie Saretsky - Station Manager

In charge of all the goings on at CJLO, Stephanie is your girl for all major initiatives and leads the entire CJLO team. Stephanie graduated in Cultural Studies at McGill University and is a veteran of Audio Smut Radio (voted #2 Best Radio Show in BoM 2010). She has a passion for all things delicously aural and just plain delicous. Outside of work you can find her reading fantasy lit, eating out, and making stop motion animation. Drop her a line if you're interested in more information about the station.

Brian Joseph - Program Director & Hip Hop Music Director

Host of Phantastiq Cypha every Friday from 4 to 6 pm, Brian is in charge of all the programming to hit the CJLO airwaves as well as all of the Hip Hop music to come into the station. Brian has been involved in campus radio for over 9 years. Brian's most recent achievement is the College Music Journal (CMJ) Award for Best Specialty Music Director in 2009 and nominations in the same category in 2010 and 2011.

Omar Husain - Head Music Director

Host of Hooked on Sonics, every Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm, Omar makes sure that the best music hits the CJLO airwaves. His favourite actor is Tom Cruise. He also loves Autolux more than life itself. Omar is the recipient of the CMJ award for Music Director of the Year in 2006 and 2008 and for Sexiest Voice (male) in 2006.

Marie Jade Lemonde - Volunteer Coordinator

Marie Jade makes sure that CJLO is equipped with the best volunteers and that every department is fuelled with lots of manpower. If you want to get involved, get lots of experience and build up your resume, MJ is your girl.

Kayleigh Jordan-MacGregor – Campus Outreach Coordinator

Kayleigh is responsible for maintaining relationships with the rest of Concordia’s clubs and organizations, as well as engaging the students on both campuses. A Cultural Studies major and past winner of the Diego Award for volunteer commitment, she basically works to make sure all the other kids on the playground like us. Kayleigh is dependent on tea, likes group hugs, and wishes she were a member of The Supremes. To learn more about how CJLO can help your student group Kayleigh welcomes your questions!

Kevin Gascoigne - Fundraising & Promotions Coordinator

Patrick Meloche - Magazine Editor

Host of The Letter "B", every Saturday night from Midnight to 1am, Patrick is in charge of keeping CJLO's magazine fresh, interesting and grammatically correct. He loves electronic music, literature and dry wit. If you want to contribute to CJLO's magazine don't hesitate to contact him.

Joel Balsam - News Director

Joel Balsam heads the entire News Team. He is a fourth year double major in Political Science and Journalism. He once owned a cat named Aristotle Herodotus; a nod to both the father of Political Science and the father of Journalism.

Andrew Wieler - RPM Director

Andrew, host of Grade A Explosives on Thursdays from 4-6PM, started off as a DJ and then became Community Calendar Editor, where he writes and produces a one to three minute segment that plays once every two hours highlighting community events.  He is also the RPM Director, overseeing all of the RPM albums that come into the station.  Don't be fooled though, he can also chat your ear off about metal, indie-rock, robot uprisings, or industrial music.

Katrina Kuras - Metal Director

Katrina is the new Metal Director at CJLO. Every since she has found metal she’s been addicted to it and is always trying to find her next favourite band. She appreciates all types of metal and loud rock and supports the Canadian metal scene more so than any other scene.  She is also the host of Break It Down, Thursdays 1-3pm and, in her musical opinion, the “more intense the better”.

Kelly Belfo - World Music Director

Sugarface Kelly, a.k.a Nene, is also the host of CJLO's longest running world music show Beat The World, Saturdays from 12pm - 2pm.  A true music lover of all genres, Kelly comes alive when she is surrounded by good rhythms and positive vibrations. When she is not saving lives as a nurse, she is travelling the world discovering great food and music. Green and blue are her favorite colors and the metal monkey is her Chinese sign and element.
