Waiting on Engineers

CJLO, keeping you up to date!
So I called our AM consultant, let's call him Matt Michaels, on Monday. As you may or may not know, we were waiting to hear back from our structural engineer (Ed) . He was meeting with some dude at the Garfield building (our potential site) that morning. Matt told me that he had spoken to Ed, but Ed was not ready. Ed is now doing the calculations, verifications, and what-have-you to make sure that the site is suitable. We are going to hear back from Ed on Thursday in the morning.
As a bit of an incentive, I called Ed on Tuesday to let him know that we are under a deadline and are feeling pressure from all sides. Sadly, I could only leave a message, but it was plenty clear. I also spoke to Matt today to keep the pressure on him (he needs it every now and then), so he is clear in understanding that we need this answer as soon as possible.
All in all, the opinion of both me and Matt is that the site looks good. If there had been a major or obvious problem, we would have heard about it by now. The fact that it's taken this long is most likely a sign that he can't find a problem with it, or that he's working out any minor obstacles that he found. Of course, if Ed comes back with a negative answer, it's likely that we'll be looking for a new structural engineer for any other sites that we may look at.
