More waiting...

Spoke to Matt today, then finally got in touch with Ed, the engineer. Ed says that he's not quite done with the calculations/verifications and needs another day. I expressed to him my frustration and pointed out that it's been nearly two months since we started this phase. He assured me that he'd be working on it and should have an answer tomorrow.
I've started looking into other engineers in Montreal. Ideally, we'll hear back from Ed tomorrow with a 'yes' answer, meaning his role in this whole three ring circus will be over. Matt assures me that delays are just a part of the process, citing how long it took the CRTC to finally approve the application (2 years, for those of you that are counting.) While this may be true, I have had enough.
We'll be having our first meeting of the March to AM Committee (MAC) on Friday. We'll be able to delegate some tasks and move things along.
In case you're curious, this is what our antenna will look like. It's a 75-foot fiberglass whip antenna manufactured by Valcom. The picture was taken of a similar antenna erected in Vancouver.

Hopefully it will be a yes (cross your fingers).Posted on 01/25/2007 02:39 PM EST

that photo is fascinating to me... such a fight for something so seemingly simple. but it'll all be worth it in the end.Posted on 01/26/2007 01:47 PM EST
