It's in! Sadly, we weren't able to install it last week due to heavy rain. The trouble with being in an industrial part of town is that a lot of it is underdeveloped and thus made up of tightly packed dirt. When it rains, the dirt becomes slightly less packed and mixes with the water to make muddy lakes. As much fun as it would be for children to play in, it makes construction nearly impossible. Thus, we had to wait until this past weekend (June 7th) to bring it in and put it together.
So now that the transmitter shed is in, we're ready to move onto the next phase. The interior of the shed is being painted today, a nice industrial gray. The electrician will be in on Thursday to install the electrical entrance (ie: that meter box that tells Hydro Quebec how much electricity you use). It takes 5-7 business days from when the entrance is installed for the power to come on. In the interim, we're going to install the rest of the equipment that goes into the shed, including the racks, HVAC system, and similar gear. We still have to get the transmitter from Asbestos, a transportation company is on retainer and waiting for the go-ahead. Our AM guy wants to do this in the first week of July, but I'm pushing him to get it done sooner.
