The end of the week is close and it's been fun being back after a week off. Although some of the stories have made me pretty angry. My therapist says I've been doing a good job laughing it off. (I pay him to listen)

Starting with Stephen Harper and the tories tories today and we beggerd the question, asses or idealogues? Assalogues was the right answer. Following up on the story of refusing to fund outfits in the developing world that fund abortion as part of their programs to improve maternal health.

We won't know how the Speaker's ruling will work out for 2 weeks. Harper already signaling intransigence.

Greater percentage forest loss in Canada and US between 2000 and 2005 than in Brazil over same period.

The disasterous oil spill in the Gulf being investigated by every branch of the US gov't.

Geoengineering! (this would make a Bond villain jealous)

These "evangelical scientists" say they are 99.9% sure that these little bits of wood are from Noah's Ark! How would they know howw old the bits of wood are? They don't believe in carbon dating and they think the world is 6,000 years old.
