What do ya' want for nothing?
Hello to all who come to check this out. This will be mostly about links to the stories I use on my show. At least for now. There are plans to direct you to my own blog and twitter and all that, but later.
For now, since Copenhagen and climate change (weirdness) are my story of the year I'll start with links to that. I was very upset with the results of Copenhagen to say the least and yet there are far more informed and sanguine voices who disagree with me. I'm rooting for them to be right starting with David Doniger: http://climateprogress.org/2009/12/28/the-copenhagen-accord-a-big-step-forward/ Further, from the Guardian, a host of voices who say that what happened in Copenhagen was a good beginning. Let's hope so. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/dec/22/copenhagen-climate-deal-expert-view
Here's James Garvey, who's a lot less sanguine and says we're all eco-warriors now. Right or wrong he makes a great case and this is one righteous rank: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/cif-green/2009/dec/21/copenhagen-climate-change
There will be loads more in the coming days. In the meantime I hope it all goes your way (whoever you are are) and may 2010 be as good a year as it can be!
