Rhema Soul have been on the hip hop music scene for a while and have come out with 2 previous hot albums called Worn Soles, 2007 and Dope Beats, Good News, 2008. With successful hits like "Giving It Up", "All You Are" and "Steez", they have earned awards such as Just Plain Folks Music Awards winners for Best Hip Hop album nominations, and with their music video “Steez” which was nominated for Best Video by The Gospel Music Channel.
