The highly popular International workshop known as, The Red Bull Muusic Acadamy stops by Montreal at La Société des Arts Technologiques this Friday. This is a chance to learn about the academy and assist in a few lectures by Toronto's own, Egyptrixx and Brainfeeder's super producer/DJ ,Martyn and not to mention, hot Up and Coming Montreal Duo, Sibian and Faun. Last Tuesday, Tech N9ne perform for the first time in Montréal, to a sold out crowd at Le Belmont! Together with Krizz kaliko, they put on one of the best show I've seen. So, on a beautiful Saturday, there I was at another great concert (one of many that weekend in Montreal). The first act had just finished playing to an almost full Club Soda when I got there. For it to be full at that point - before the main act - was great to see. Whatever the reason, we were all there to see Juno-nominated rap-producer Classified.

The Norwegian electro/dance duo Röyksopp, composed of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, recently stopped by Club Soda for a night of great music. It had been a while since we’ve seen the duo in Montreal and so their return was greatly anticipated – so much so that they played to a sold out Club Soda! I must say, I’ve been a fan ever since I heard “Remind Me” from their debut album, Melody AM, in Robot Food’s Lame (my favourite snowboarding movie)....

There I was on a Sunday night, sitting in one of the side balconies at Club Soda and thinking, "who does a show on a Sunday night?" Isn't Sunday night meant for rest after a long weekend? I guess I'm getting too old. Or is it just the fatigue of partying all weekend? It felt weird since usually I take pictures at concerts but for a change I was there to review the show.
