Happy New Year! Wishing you a year of joy, peace, and Happiness! Purple Carrot has been vacationizing and will be back with it's first show of the year on Sun, Jan 15th from 11-12pm. Yes, a new timeslot for your weekend listening amusement. This year, we'll be listening to songs from the Blue Ridge mountains beyond yonder Appalachian valley, brought forth by the weepin' hearts of Bill Monroe and other old time crooners. There will be experimental mayhemishness from the masked faces of The Residents. And new gems from garage and art-spaces of Brooklyns, Bushwicks, and Silver Lakes all over America... and...

Happy New Year to all you wonderful lads and lassies! Wishing a year of joy, peace, and Happiness to all of you! Purple Carrot's been vacationizing, and will be back on Sun, Jan 15 for the first show of 2012. This year, we'll be listening to the finest sounds of the Blue Ridge mountains, inspired by them honest folks of the Appalachian valley. Good old American folk songs, brought forth by the weepin' hearts of Bill Monroe and other old-time crooners. Experimental gems squiddled from the masked faces of The Residents, the latest discoveries from Brooklyn, Bushwick, and all over, and ... mooo'. That's "mooo'" as in "more", not as in the sound cows make. Ah, where is the International Phonetic alphabet when you need it... Happy Listening!

Hello everyone!

Here's a knowledge byte for you to munch on: "Purple carrots are edible at every stage of root development. As soon as the first carrots reach about 1/4 inch in diameter, pull a few out for a delicate, fresh summer root vegetable. Harvested early in this immature state, purple carrots have a delicate flavor and crisp, tender texture. Just be sure to plant enough so that come fall, you have a supply of mature carrots to harvest. Slice immature purple carrots into salads to add color. Once the carrots cook, much of the purple is lost."

Yes, Harvest time is a time of sowing the fruits of your labour. It's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog. Now feels like a good time. The purple carrots have matured.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to...
