Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark are back on North American soil for the first time, with their original line-up, since 1988. I had the chance to catch the tour's second show, at Le National on Sunday March 6th 2011. Monday January 24th 2011, "With Gay Abandon" will be featuring a session with Montréal-based solo drone artist Les Beyond. Listen in from 2-4 right here on CJLO 1690 AM www.cjlo.com

The story is about a trans sex worker hired for a challenging job, and how she makes her way through the awkwardness of her mission to discover...

Their sound can be compared to other riot girl acts like Vivian Girls or Ciccone Youth. The opener, Pantha du Prince, warmed the crowd with a bouncy house set riddled with noise-ish samples, lit by strategically-situated...
