Adéla is a solo Slovakian artist that emerged from the "Dream Academy" reality TV series. Although she is classified as a pop-artist, her signature hot pink hair, stage presence, and intense ballet background add a lot of depth to her captivating artistry, which is where her tag “swaggerina” most likely originates from.
The intimacy of her Montreal show brought so much opportunity to appreciate not just her vocals and charisma, but her and her dancers' amazingly high technical abilities, carrying the versatility to dance in heels, flats, and even pointe shoes.
The Theatre Fairmount was small with a limited amount of tickets. Her opener was a DJ by the name of Prosperity Room, whose energy warming up the crowd really made the show feel more like a secret party than a concert. It seemed like ensuring the audience was having fun and staying engaged was their top priority.
With such a rising pop star in the making who is unapologetically herself, Adéla's songs, such as “Nicole Kidman,” “KGB,” and “Ain’t in L.A.,” have meteorically risen, being associated with trends all over various social media platforms, particularly Tiktok and Instagram. All of these songs feature on her new album Prima (2026).
Focusing especially on her song “Ain’t in L.A,” which she wrote for her mom, she highlights and gives voice to every girl around the globe, marketing the song with unique posters for each city they’re put up in, highlighting that specific city.
Before her song "Nicole Kidman," she recited a manifestation letter (a tradition in her shows) which she writes before every show and shares with the crowd. She creates an intimate moment with the crowd wherein she reads what she wrote beforehand, with all her wishes, dreams, and hopes for the future. The moment also highlighted her intentionality, taking the time to really think about others, be present in the moment and acknowledge what it took to get where she is today. It showed how she conceptualizes each of the numbers she performs as she adds the elements she wants to showcase, all while allowing her authenticity to bleed through.
Whether she’s just doing tricks to showcase her flexibility, wearing hip hop gear while dancing in pointe shoes, or not censoring her music, she is always using her versatility, sensuality and contemporary style to showcase her maximum potential.
