The Lonesome Strangers
 Wednesdays at 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM

Long ago, two strange men came together... as ONE... to create the greatest educational Hip-hop duo KNOWN TO MAN...

Sadly, after only one Highschool tour, and numerous lawsuits... that dream quickly faded into the shadows...

However, out of those shadows emerged an underground radio broadcast, the likes of which had never been seen... or heard...

Mixing old & new school alternative/indie rock with the most obscure & pointless tidbits of pop culture minutiae; THE LONESOME STRANGERS RADIO BROADCAST was conceived… by two men…

One’s an alcohol fuelled rage-o-holic who enjoys creating award-winning* films, Street-fighting, Babysitting, and acoustic balladry…

The other is the bastard son of Montreal’s Organized Crime family, a man who enjoys John Tesh, sunshine, Italian stereotypes, and fighting for the last slice...

So, just so you know… this show can be heard EVERY WEDNESDAY from 3 to 5pm... right here at CJLO...

The End Of An Era?

This Wednesday's episode of the Lonesome Strangers may very well be my last… at least for a little while. I just got hired at a "real job" and my work hours are going to conflict with the current time slot of the radio show. As such, I'm going to need to take a leave of absence from the Lonesome Strangers. I’m sure I’ll return to the airwaves eventually but at this point, I can’t quite say when yet.

So what will become of the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast while I’m away? I’m glad you asked. The answer, simply put, is that there isn’t a whole lot that’s going to change. My co-host Mikey B is going to soldier on without me and continue to give all of you loyal listeners your weekly dose of rants, nonsense and music. If he replaces me with my beloved Hulk Hogan soundboard you might not even notice that I’m gone.

So anyway, like I said, I’ll be back at some point but I don’t know when. I might need to quit my job, get fired or have the Lonesome Strangers show moved to a new time slot before I can return, but gosh darn it, I’LL BE BACK!

Mikey Survived New York

Yep, Mikey B made it to New York and back without suffering any head trauma (unlike me last year) so he'll be rejoining me in studio this week for a brand-spanking-new episode of the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast. Yay! We're going to have music, news, nonsense and I'd imagine that Mike will have a story or two or three or four or even five about his magical trip. It should be good. So listen!

This Looks Like A Job For Spanky G!

Don't get too excited about the title of this posting. I'm not leaving the show because I found a full-time job... at least not yet. No, the title merely refers to the fact that Mikey's in New York City this week and therefore, for a second time in two weeks, the task of hosting the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast falls upon my shoulders and my shoulders alone.

To compensate for the lack of Mikey, I'll be having a special guest-co-host join me in the studio for what promises to be 2 full hours of entertaining-ish radio. At least that's the plan. With my luck she'll probably cancel on me and I'll have to have my beloved Hulk Hogan soundboard co-host the show with me. Ugh...

So remember to tune in to CJLO this Wednesday, from 3:00 to 5:00PM, to hear me fumbling with the equipment and struggling to fill dead-air. It should be grand.

Happy Thanksgiving!

If you're in need of a reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving, I'll give you two:

Reason #1: Mike's laser eye surgery was a success and he can see again!

Reason #2: The dynamic duo of CJLO (the Lonesome Strangers) will be reunited and on the air this Wednesday afternoon.

Be sure to tune into the show to hear all about how Mike's adjusting to having peepers that work, as well as to hear the latest in news, music and nonsense. There's also a 50/50 chance that we'll have a shocking announcement to make that could change the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast forever (or at least for a few weeks).

Osheaga Was "Smashing"

This past Saturday, Mike and I managed to score some free tickets to the 1st day of Osheaga (thanks Pat!) so this week on the show we'll be giving you our thoughts on what we saw and heard. One of the highlights was definitely hearing the Smashing Pumpkins combine By Starlight (off of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness) and To Sheila (off of Adore) into one sexy acoustic song. If you'd like to get an idea of what it sounded like just click here.

People Love To Watch Teens Strip

I found myself with some spare time on Tuesday and decided to use it to make a short little video. After working some of my filmmaking magic, I uploaded my latest movie to YouTube and sat back and watched in amazement at what happened next. In less than 2 minutes, the video already had 250+ views. That's crizzazy!!!! The immediate popularity of the video likely had a lot to do with its name; Sexy Teen Stripping. If you'd like to check it out for yourself, you can do so by clicking here. As I write this, the movie has already managed to surpass the number of views that 2 Naughty Schoolgirls has gotten and it hasn't even been online for 24 hours yet. For the record, 2 Naughty Schoolgirls was uploaded on July 19th 2007.

I guess the moral of this story is that if you want people to check out your stuff, you should give it a sexy name. With that in mind, the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast will henceforth be known as the Sexy Teens Stripping radio broadcast.

It's Time For A Post-Screening Wrap-Up

First and foremost, allow me to thank all the brave souls who came to see 2 Naughty Schoolgirls at Fantasia on July 18th. I really appreciated it. I’d also like to let you all know that I felt horrible for everything you had to suffer through after my two minutes in the spotlight were over. For those of you who missed out, let’s just say that the films that followed my fake trailer weren’t exactly enjoyed by all. One in particular seemed to be particularly hated and actually attracted audible groans from the audience (and not the good kind either). Luckily for the guy who made it, he has friends who write reviews for a horror website and they gave it a positive write-up following the screening. Sure the reviewers had to downright lie about how the audience reacted to the film but hey, journalistic integrity is overrated anyway.

For further details on this tale of shady journalism and to hear more about the screening itself, tune into this week’s episode of The Lonesome Strangers. I assure you that you won’t want to miss the profanity-laced tirade that Mikey B’s going to release on the topic. Sufficient to say he was not entertained by what the other movies had to offer.

Also on the show this week, new stuff from Tegan and Sara, news about Rogue Wave’s upcoming album and more fun than you can shake a stick at.

2 Naughty Schoolgirls - This Wednesday!

I don't know about Mikey B but I won't be doing the radio show this week. No, I'll be busy with the World Premiere of my latest film; 2 Naughty Schoolgirls. It'll be screening this Wednesday (July 18th) @ 5:00 PM in the DB Clarke theatre as part of Fantasia's Courts-Métrages Québécois DIY 4 program and once again, I invite anyone reading this to come check it out. Tickets should still be available at Concordia's Hall building and through the admission network if you're interested. For further ticket information go here.

If you can't make the screening, tune into the The Lonesome Strangers next week to hear all about how it went and to find out about how drunk I got at the pre and post-screening parties. Chances are there'll be stories... none of them flattering.

2 Naughty Schoolgirls @ Fantasia

Amy and Jamie are a pair of sadistic schoolgirls who dabble in the occult and murder online predators for fun. One day they mistake Matt, an innocent man, for the pedophile they were awaiting and he quickly finds himself at their mercy. Will he escape? Or will he meet a grisly death? To find out you’d have to see the movie, but since it doesn’t actually exist, you’ll have to settle for the fake trailer which will be having its World Premiere on July 18th 2007, at the Fantasia Film Festival.

That's right, the time and date of the World Premiere of my latest film, 2 Naughty Schoolgirls (www.fantasiafest.com/2007/en/films/film_detail.php?id=124) have been announced so you can all begin to plan your schedules for July accordingly. The film will be screened on July 18th @ 5:00 PM inside the DB Clarke Theatre as part of the Court-Métrages Québécois DIY 4 program. For those of you who don't know, the DB Clarke Theatre is located at 1455 de Maisonneuve O. here in Montreal (inside Concordia's Hall building).

Featuring sexy schoolgirls, a perverted evil spirit, tons of violence and music by Montreal's own The Refined, 2 Naughty Schoolgirls promises to be fun way to kill some time this summer.

The tickets for the 2007 Fantasia Festival will be available starting July 4th at 2:00 PM at the Concordia Hall Theatre and throughout the Admission Network. The price is $7.50 per ticket.

The 2007 Official Fantasia Program will be on sale at the cost of $5.00 in several stores in the area starting June 29th at 5:00 PM and at the Hall Building Theatre as of July 3rd. What The Hell Happened To Us Last Week?

If you sat down to listen to the show last week, you may have noticed that Mike and I didn't bother showing up for work. Hopefully you at least got to enjoy a good repeat broadcast or something equally entertaining. So where were we? Well, Mike took off to Toronto for one last farewell gig with his Beach Boys cover band and I just passed out... without the help of beer for once.

This week we'll be back with fresh music, some weird news and our same old stale brand of humour so you should definitely tune in. Also, Mike'll probably have some interesting road trip stories to tell us about so that might be worth a listen. As for me, I was pretty much sober all week so I won't have any stories about random make-outs or fist-fights on busses. Maybe next week though...

We'll catch you kids on Wednesday afternoon! And by the way, go see 2 Naughty Schoolgirls @ Fantasia this July. Out!

I'm Going To Fantasia With "2 Naughty Schoolgirls"

As was announced on the May 23rd edition of the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast, my latest film, 2 Naughty Schoolgirls, has been accepted into the 2007 edition of the Fantasia Film Festival. This will be the third year in row that I have a film being screened as part of the festival as The Hunger was shown in 2005 and last year A Date with the Dead was not only chosen for the fest, but actually won the Best English Quebec DIY Film prize.

This year’s movie isn’t really even a movie at all. It’s actually a fake trailer. Kind of like the ones you might have seen in Grindhouse, though without that retro look . It’s only a little over two minutes long but despite this, I think there’s more blood in this trailer then there was in A Date with the Dead, which is pretty cool I think, considering that it was a 24 minute zombie movie! So what’s 2 Naughty Schoolgirls about? Well, it’s about two atypical 16-year-old girls who dabble in the occult and lure online predators to their home, where they murder them for fun. One day, while waiting for their next victim to arrive, a young innocent man named Matt, accidentally shows up at their doorstep and soon finds himself at their mercy. Will he escape? Or will he meet a grisly death? To find out you’d have to see the actual movie. Since it doesn’t exist, you’ll just have to settle for being entertained by sexy schoolgirls and tons of violence.

The date of the screening hasn’t been announced yet but keep checking back here for more information. I’ll post news as soon as I get it. You can also check out Fantasia’s official website (www.fantasiafest.com/pre2007/en/) for details about my film and all the other wonderful movies they’ll be presenting this Summer.

See you at the movies kids!

Mikey's Almost 30!!!!!

This past weekend about half the population of the West Island went out to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the birth of Michael Christopher Bresciani. If you didn't partake in the celebrations, you'll have to tune in to this week's edition of the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast to hear what you missed. There was drinking, Mexican food, laser-tag, suspense, highly inapropriate comments and more drinking, which all combined to make a very memorable night. Of course Mike probably doesn't remember much of it...

Happy Belated Casimir Pulaski Day!!!

Allow me to begin this post by wishing all of our listeners from Illinois a happy belated Casimir Pulaski Day. For those of you who don't know, Casimir Pulaski was Polish American War General during America's Revolutionary War. In his honor, Casimir Pulaski Day is celebrated on the first Monday of every March in the state of Illinois. To mark the occasion this year, Asthmatic Kitty Records is offering a free download of a demo version of Sufjan Stevens' "Casimir Pulaski Day." You can get that by going here: http://asthmatickitty.com/news.php?newsID=133.

With that out of the way, let me tell why you should listen to this week's edition of The Lonesome Strangers Radio Broadcast. First of all, I've discovered some sick-ass cover songs that you're not gonna want to miss. Secondly, we're gonna have a bunch of music news including information on a couple of forthcoming releases from the Stars. Last but not least, I'll reveal why Avril Lavigne is the most talented woman in music today. Seriously, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k44ejwWi1PU. Speaking of Avril, she looks soooooo good in her new video! She's got this punk, schoolgirl, Jem thing going on that I highly approve of. On that note, I'm off to touch myself inappropriately. Later kids!

That annual "Treat Your Significant Other Like A Prostitute Day" (otherwise known as Valentine's Day) is upon us yet again, which means that it's time for another Lonesome Strangers Valentine's Day Special. On this week's show we'll be discussing love and heartbreak. We'll also be playing some pro/anti-love songs. Well at least that's the plan. Chances are the show will degenerate into a tirade about Curious George, the Berenstain Bears or some other totally unrelated topic. Our Week Sucked Like The Habs (who usually don't)

The schoolgirl to the left has nothing to do with this post. I just really really like schoolgirls. Now onto this week's news...

This past week was pretty boring for us Lonesome Strangers. The highlights were $6.99 pitchers, practicing our squeegee kid skills and cussing at a Couche-Tard employee. Now what does this mean for you the listener? Well, it means that we won't have much "real" stuff to talk and rant about on this week's show. I'm sure we can make up for it somehow though. Maybe we'll go off on a tirade about how the Habs suddenly suck like a super-powered vacuum, maybe we'll have a Skip It competition on live radio, maybe we'll even play a song or two. Regardless, the show will be good this week so you should listen.

The Lonesome Gunman????

Earlier today, Montreal Police were called out to Concordia's Loyola Campus (where CJLO just happens to be located) because a janitor reported seeing someone with a rifle case. The school was evacuated and classrooms were searched. In the end, the "rifle case" ended up containing a stick and the lockdown came to an end.

When I first heard about this, I immediately began to wonder if a fellow Comunication Studies student had finally lost it. Though I'd be the most likely suspect, I knew it couldn't be me so I started to think of who else could be driven crazy by COMS. The it hit me... MIKEY B!!!!!!

The evidence was there. Consider that he left the following anti-COMS Douche rant on the wall of the "Keep Your Fucking Hand Down in Lecture and Shut Up. No One Care's" group on Facebook:

"I study Communications... my program is full of pseudo-intellectual douchebags that need to validate their own sense of intellectual superiority... (just like every other program I guess... but still...)

It's funny, because those annoying front-of-the class-dwelling beret wearing-dumpster-diving hippie/suburbanite name-dropping fruitcakes will be the ones forever trapped in academic limbo... as they'll stay in University on and off again for another 10 years... becoming professional front-of-the class dwellers... annoying everyone for YEARS... prolonging the class... while I go out and try to find work.

I know way too many borderline special people sitting in the front of the class... so I'm not gonna name names... cause Montreal's pretty small... and everyone knows everyone... nonetheless:

... You... in the front... we really ARE laughing at you behind your back... not cause we're trying to be mean... but because you're an idiot, and you give us no choice...

that felt good"

Anyway, considering there wasn't really a gunman at Concordia, I guess Mikey didn't go bat-shit crazy... at least not yet. And that's good news because that means we can do our radio show this week. Tune in, it'll be good-ish.

The End Of 2006 And The Lonesome Strangers???

This week's Lonesome Strangers broadcast will be our last show of the year so we're gonna have a lot to get to. It's going to be a 2 hour Christmas/Year End super spectacular that you will NOT want to miss. Not only will we be dropping our usual bizarre rants but we'll also be playing some Christmas tunes and some of our top picks from 2006. If that wasn't enough, this could very well be the very last episode of the Lonesome Strangers ever!!!!!!!

Gasp! Say what???

Well, on December 21st, I Spanky G, will be celebrating my 24th birthday and chances are that I won't survive. For the last few years, I've narrowly avoided death by alcohol poisoning and my luck is bound to run out sooner rather than later. If I do indeed kick the bucket this year, I can't gurantee that Mikey will continue to do the show without me. Sure he could try to replace me with "Wrong Side of the Bed" Katie, Dallas or maybe a llama but it just wouldn't be the same.

So if the Lonesome Strangers don't make it to 2007, let me just thank each and every one of our listeners for tuning in to the show this year. You guys and gals make getting up on Wednesdays to do non-sensical radio worthwhile. The fat pay cheques that CJLO gives us don't hurt either though.

Happy Holidays from Spanky G and that other Lonesome Stranger!

If you haven't already heard, Sufjan Stevens will be releasing a 5 CD box set of Christmas music on November 21 2006. The CDs will feature some original material and classic Christmas songs as well. If you can't wait until the release date to check this out, then head on over to http://www.asthmatickitty.com/suf_xmas/suf_xmas.php where you can listen to all 5 CDs in their entirety. Just make sure you're listening to us Lonesome Strangers and not Sufjan this Wednesday between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. If you don't listen to the show, you'll miss the return of Hulk Hogan and another Mikey B on-air meltdown. You wouldn't want that would you?

Online Predators (not the Lonesome Strangers)

First and foremost, allow me to thank all of you who came out to Reggie's this past Wednesday to check out the films. Though I doubt that most of you were able to hear anything due to all the background noise, I'm glad to see that some of you at least tried to listen. It was much appreciated.

Now onto business. If you blinked, you probably missed the second film "Online Predators" and even if you did see it, there's no way you heard it. With that in mind, I invite you all to head on over to www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn67hHnKkIY where you can watch this short P.S.A. I'm a litle hesitant about putting "The Hunger" and "A Date with the Dead" online at this time for a variety of reasons but I'll consider it. In the meantime, check out "Online Predators" and help me keep kids safe on the internet.

It's A Spanky G Movie Marathon

This Wednesday night (October 25th) CJLO will be hosting a Halloween party at Reggie's (located in Concordia's Hall Building at 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W.) and we Lonesome Strangers have 3 solid reasons why you should attend.

1. My award winning film, "A Date with the Dead," will be screened.

2. My 2005 film "The Hunger" will screened.

3. My latest short film (and I do mean short) will be screened for the first time ever.

Could things get any better? Actually, yes. Not only will the Lonesome Strangers be providing the movies but we'll also be spinning some tunes for those of you who show up. I'm also under the impression that there will be cheap(ish) beer. So grab a costume and come on down to Reggie's this Wednesday. The fun starts at 7:00 PM.

While I'm here, allow me to remind you to listen to this week's special episode of the Lonesome Strangers.  It'll feature great music, some news (including this story http://entertainment1.sympatico.msn.ca/OJ+Simpson+If+I+Did+It/Celebs/News/ContentPosting.aspx?isfa=1&newsitemid=KP23100610&feedname=CP-SHOWBIZ_V2&show=False&number=0&showbyline=False&subtitle=&detect=&abc=abc ) and shameless plugging of my movies.

Hmmmm, that actually sounds a lot like a typical broadcast...

Return Of The Living Dead

Yes, Mikey and I both look like zombies right about now, as we've been busy writing essays and not sleeping but that's not what this article's about. No, this article is all about the return of A Date with the Dead to the big screen.

On Friday, October 20, A Date with the Dead will be screened at UberCon VIII. This is going down at Midnight at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Secaucus New Jersey. For more details go to http://www.ubercon.com/.

Following the Jersey screening, A Date with the Dead will next be shown on October 25 at Reggie's, which is located at 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W. (Concordia's Hall building for those of you who don't know) here in beautiful Montreal. My 2005 film The Hunger and a brand new short of mine will be screened as well.

As if my super awesome movies weren't enough to get you to go to Reggie's on the 25th, I also believe that there's going to be a special CJLO Halloween party going on there on the very same night. Oh snap! Now that's a sweet deal!

See you all there... unless I get drunk. In which case I won't see much other than blurs.

The Return Of The Lonesome Strangers

Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great joy that we Lonesome Strangers announce that we'll be returning to the CJLO airwaves on October 18th. Mikey's Beach Boys cover band broke up over creative differences and I somehow managed to survive my spiritual journey to the bars of New York City. I also somehow managed to survive getting lost in East Orange, New Jersey, but that's another story.

In case you're wondering, the picture posted along with this article isn't from one of my movies. No, that's actually me bleeding to death on some street in New York at about 4:30 in the morning. Can you afford to miss the story of how this happened? I didn't think so. Well the only way you'll find out (unless you ask me in person) is by tuning in on Wednesday at 3:00 PM. Be there or be square... Times Square! Get it?

I'm Glad Someone's Making Money Off My Work

As some of you may recall, both Mikey and I have gone through ebay addictions in the past. Now while we conquered these addictions, we still like to visit the site from time to time. I decided to do just that the other day and wound up getting quite the surprise. Up for auction was a collection of super rare movies including two of my very own. That's right, someone other than me was selling copies of A Date with the Dead and The Hunger. It turns out that a guy that worked for one of the festivals I submitted to took it upon himself to make a buck on the hard work of others. The seller ended up making 51 American dollars and consequently the guy has now made more off these movies than I have. Here's a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Over-110-underground-shot-films-Rare-Unusual_W0QQitemZ270033767248QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Definite Hiatus

It is my sad duty to report that the Lonesome Strangers will be on definite hiatus starting Tuesday October 10th, and ending on Wednesday, October 18th at 3pm.

Spanky G has left the show, and is now taking part in a spiritual journey through the bars (and alleys) of glamorous New York city.

Mikey B has dropped out of school, and is now touring Japan with an elite Beach boys tribute group known as "The Kokomo's".

Tune in next week.

Who Did Jet Piss Off To Deserve This?

www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/38853/Jet_Shine_On

If you'd like to see the harshest album review that I have ever come across then click on the link above. The unfortunate recipients of this dubious distinction are Australian rockers Jet. Let's just say that the folks at Pitchfork apparently don't much care for their new album "Shine On." I'm wondering if one of the band members slept with the reviewers wife or something. Damn...

Let's just hope for the reviewer's sake that Jet doesn't pull a Uwe Boll on the guy. If you don't get the joke, check out the article directly below this one.

Uwe Boll Takes On His Critics... Literally

As I mentioned on the show last week, Uwe Boll, the director of several Hollywood mega-bombs suck as "House of the Dead" and "BloodRayne," recently faced a few of his critics in a boxing ring in Vancouver. This week's show was shaping up to be something special. It was going to feature even more talk about Mayor McCheese and other awesomeness. At least it did until earlier today, when I got word that the South Shore's very own The Refined will be coming into the CJLO studio to rock out live. Mayor McCheese Is A Total Player

Since last week's on-air discussion about Mayor McCheese, I've been hearing from more and more girls who think he's hot stuff. At first this seemed very odd to me as the guy has a freakin' hamburger for a head. After sitting down and thinking about it though (which I did) it occured to me that this Mayor McCheese love really isn't that hard to comprehend. Mike and I will discuss this and much more on this week's edition of the Lonesome Strangers Radio Broadcast. Don't miss it!!!!

Spanky G & Lupus Invade CJLO

From 1995 to 2000, two young men challenged the authority and patience of all those who dared cross their paths at Mac High. Now in 2006, the pair will re-unite to lay siege to the CJLO airwaves.

This week Mikey B is in New York so my long-time partner in crime Lupus will be filling in for him as my co-host. Will there be trouble, vandalism and drunken debauchery? You'll have to tune in to find out. If history has taught me anything though, it's that the answer should be a resounding yes.

Edit: Since this was originally posted, Lupus cancelled and Mike got back from New York. So for better or for worse, you'll be getting a regular edition of the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast this week. Try to enjoy it.

A Date With The Dead @ Fantasia

Hey there Lonesome listeners, there's big news on the movie front this week so grab a chair, get comfortable and read on...

The time and date have finally been announced for the World Premiere of "A Date With The Dead" (the movie that Mikey B and I just completed a little while ago). It'll be screened on Sunday July 16th 2006 at 2:30 PM in the J.A De Seve cinema at Concordia. That's located at 1400 de Maisonneuve O right here in beautiful downtown Montreal. The film is being screened as part of Fantasia's Quebec DIY (English) program. Tickets are $7.50 a pop unless you buy 10 at a time, in which case the price drops to $6.50. The tickets go on sale July 4th at 2:00 PM and will be available at Concordia's Hall building (1455 de Maisonneuve O) and through the admissions network. I suggest getting tickets as early as possible as I have no idea what the demand will be for this screening and it would suck if were to sell out before all of our loyal fans could score some tickets.

For further information go to www.fantasiafest.com/2006/ or skip right ahead to the ADWTD page by going here www.fantasiafest.com/2006/en/films/film_detail.php?id=61.

I hope to see you all the premiere as you should totally check this flick out. Not that Mike and I want to give ourselves a BIg Bad Barry Horowitz pat on the back or anything but this movie is hella good and it may just well be the funniest film you see this year. Seriously.

Fantasies and Fantasia

The following is a true story...

Something crazy happened tonight. I was researching the female anatomy online (looking at porn) when I heard the pitter-patter of my little brother's feet rushing towards my room. I quickly changed websites because I didn't want my brother to see what I was up to. I mean who wants to sit their younger sibling down and explain to them that when a mommy and daddy love each other very much, they invite over a few schoolgirls and have a hardcore orgy? Anyway, my brother had come downstairs to bring me the phone as someone was on the line for me. As I took the phone I realized that the website I had clicked on in my haste was the Fantasia Film Fest's site. This is where things get weird. It turns out that it was the Fantasia Film Fest on the phone for me too. What are the chances of that? They were calling to let me know that my new movie, "A Date With The Dead" has been accepted to this year's festival. Needless to say I'm pleased and I will be shilling the hell out of this. Stay tuned to the Lonesome Strangers radio broadcast and this page for updates on times and dates of screenings.

An Iron Sheik Meltdown

OK, at this point I'm beginning to realize that I may have a problem. I can't seem to get enough of washed up wrestlers and their bizarre antics. Here's a hilarious video of the Iron Sheik having a meltdown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K-wEUCCvE0&search=Iron%20Sheik%20). During an interview, he goes on and on about another wrestler that he sees as a "fag" and how he wanted to "make him humble" by breaking his back and giving him some man love from behind if you catch my drift. I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Queerin' Don't Make The World Work

While listening to the Lonesome Strangers, you may have heard Mikey or I make reference to either the Ultimate Warrior (the charming fellow you see to the left) or to the phrase "queerin' don't make the world work." Now this may have left you scratching your head wondering just what the hell we were talking about, as I imagine you do a lot if you listen to our show for more than a few minutes. Well now you don't have to be in the dark anymore as I've found a video that will explain everything. You can find it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxZWjJyw3rg&search=ultimate%20warrior. Basically, the Ultimate Warrior, who was a big wrestler in the early 90s, now goes around giving lectures about his far-right political views on life and a few months back he brought his hate... errrr... opinions to the University of Connecticut. Luckily someone was there with a camera to record the whole thing. The lecture starts off kind of slow but starts to really pick up around the 44 minute mark when Warrior starts getting really homophobic and racist. Obviously hilarity ensues. This is definitely worth a watch and not just because of how damn funny it is but also because this video serves as a powerful warning to anyone considering taking steroids. They can clearly take a seriously damaging toll on your sanity.

On a side note, looking at that picture, can you really believe that this guy would be homophobic? He's wearing tassles and makeup for Christ's sake...

Last Sunday, Spanky and I were in the Metro grocery store in Pointe Claire when we saw one of Montreal's most recognizeable celebrities...

It was none other than TEEN SABRINA... the "19 year old" internet porno queen that Chris went to school with at Crack High...

Isn't it hilarious when you find out that people you knew in highschool are making porn ?

Another Programming Note

Despite what was said in my previous post, it looks like our poor fans will have to settle for an hour and a half Lonesome Strangers show every Monday instead of a two hour one.  At least for the foreseeable future...

Sorry kids.

Cosby In Da House

Hey kids, I'm Bill Cosby and I'm here to share some fun links with you ya see. On today's episode of The Lonesome Strangers, Spanky G and Mikey B discussed many things including the phenomenal group known to the world as Grand Buffet ya see. Head on over to http://grandbuffet.com/ to check them out. You can even download some of their songs for free while you're there ya see. Speaking of downloads, go to http://weezernation.com/ if you want to download more Weezer B-Sides than you can shake a cup Jell-O pudding at ya see. Once you're done promoting communism by downloading free music, write to the people in charge of NBC and demand that they un-cancel The Cosby Mysteries. That was a good show ya see. If you want more Cosby fun while surfing the net, check out a bizarre flash game at http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/218789. In the game you play as me ya see and you can lure people such as Carl Winslow towards you with pudding before assaulting them with a camera. And finally, if you want to watch a bizarre cartoon about a man who makes clones of me, head to http://www.channel101.com/ and look for a show called House of Cosbys ya see.

The World Premiere of "THE HUNGER"

As I promised, here's all the info you'll need regarding the world premiere of my film "The Hunger." It premieres Tuesday, May 3rd 2005 as part of the Film II year end screening. The event is being held at 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd W. (that's Concordia's Hall building) in room H-110. The doors open at 7:30 but I'd recommend getting there early to ensure that you get a good seat. A lot of time, effort and money went into this film so it would be great to see some people coming out to support it. Following the screening there will be an after-party where we can all get drizzunk. Do you need more motivation than that to come see this thing?

To celebrate "The Hunger's" big premiere, next week's episode of the Lonesome Strangers will be a Super Sized special edition of the show jam packed with awesomeness and deliciousness. It'll be like a happy meal for your ears. Frequent contributor to the show Paul "Scratchmasta" Dejean may even be joining us in studio for the show so you know it's going to be a party. So make sure to tune in to the show next Tuesday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM and then make your way downtown for what may well be the most memorable film you'll see this year. Seriously.

See you at the movies kids.

MIKEY GETS ELEGANTLY WASTED

I did get realllllly drunk @ clyde's last week with the help of some good friends... so I'm doing it all again !

No, not really...

But I will be making a special guest appearance on "Elegantly wasted" this coming monday, from 5-6pm. Joining me will be my compadre Mr. Dallas (tuesdays 10-12) as we get to sit down, and talk about what's really on our minds, with two of Con U's finest students/hotties.

Funny thing is, we've never met...
but I could've sworn I've seen them on the internet somewhere.
It's probably my very wild imagination.

so DON'T FORGET TO TUNE IN !
