Justice for Oscar Bartholomew

According to the CBC, the family of a Canadian man who was beaten to death by police in Grenada will seek justice.

Oscar Bartholomew, 39, was visiting family in Grenada when he was killed. He allegedly mistook a female police officer for a friend whom he hugged. He was beaten in to a coma and died of brain trauma.

Bartholomew’s family seeks justice for his widow and three children. Five officers are facing manslaughter charges and could face  a maximum 15 year sentence. Alternatively they could just get off with a fine determined by the judge.
