Staff at the Montreal General Hospital are extremely concerned after 2 employees were injured by an aggressive patient in a situation that could have been avoided.

According to CBC News, a 25-year-old man was admitted to the Montreal General Hospital on Friday due to psychological problems.

Early Saturday morning, the man attacked a nurse and an assistant nurse, injuring them both.According to staff, no security guards were in the ward at the time of the attack because of significant budget cuts implemented by Quebec’s government.

Hundreds of people who were forced to evacuate because of wildfires south of Manitoba's Poplar River First Nation are returning home on Tuesday.

According to CBC News, the wildfires were started by lightning.

Wildfires in other parts of Manitoba have displaced more than 4300 residents from the Wasagamack First Nation, St. Theresa Point First Nation and Garden Hill First Nation as well.

The bodies of 16 migrants were discovered in Libya's desert on Tuesday.

According to Reuters, Egyptian migrants are often left for dead by smugglers who abandon them in the middle of the desert.

Libyan security forces are continuing to search the area for survivors.
