Police horse ran loose in NDG on Saturday

A police horse escaped from its handler Saturday afternoon in Notre-Dame-de-Grace.

According to the Gazette, an officer was attempting to mount the horse when it got away.

The horse galloped down Sherbrooke Street and managed to evade officers for nearly thirty minutes.

Const. Danny Richer says no injuries were reported, although the horse was seen by a vet Saturday evening for minor injuries to its legs and nose.
