The UN is suspending its food distribution centres in the Gaza Strip.
According to the BBC, the UN Relief and Works agency (UNRWA) provides aid for approximately 800 000 Palestinians in Gaza.
The decision to suspend food distribution comes after protesters stormed one of the compounds.
Demonstrations such as this have been increasing over the past week.
Cash payments to Gaza's poorest families were recently subject to major cuts, resulting in the increased presence of protests.
According to UNRWA, the suspensions of food distributions will remain in until security assurances for property and staff are maintained.
