As part of Montreal's 375th anniversary in 2017, the city will also be hosting the first ever Canada Pride festival.

According to the Montreal Gazette, the idea of a National LGBT Pride festival was first pitched during a meeting last year by Montreal Pride director of communications Steven Ross to roughly 80 other Canadian Pride organizations.

The festival will last for 10 days and include sporting events, a three day conference on LGBT rights, a parade and outdoor concerts.

The event is planned to take place in a different city around the country every four years.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says his country has developed nuclear warheads small enough to fit on ballistic missiles.

According to BBC News, the legitimacy of the photographs released by the North Korea's news agency remains in question.

The announcement comes as North Korea continues to ignore sanctions imposed by the United Nations.

After conducting a nuclear test and launching a satellite, the country is now threatening to launch a nuclear strike on neighbouring South Korea and the United States.
