CJLO successfully put the FUN in FUNdraising this Fall- with the generous support of our community, campus and fabulous sponsors! We are still processing donations, but are happy to report that we have surpassed our goal and have raised $8500 for the station AND counting (it's not too late to donate if you haven't already!)! We couldn't have done this without all of our hard working volunteers and wonderful collaborators- Thanks to everyone that helped us with what was a monumental undertaking for the little station that could!

The World Film Festival is a Montreal festival that ran from August 27th till September 7th this year. On Saturday September 5th, Borealis, a dark comedy, premiered from director Sean Garrity and screenwriter Jonas Chernick. I had the privilege to interview Joey King, who plays Aurora in the film, and we discussed everything from her role in the film, to working with the independent minds of Zach Braff and James Franco. Joey also took the time to talk about some of her favorite iconic sounds from cinema.

Coming up on the next Fatal Attraction, (airing at a special time this week: Wed @ 4pm) Patricia has the pleasure of interviewing Strange Froots: a trio of singers-songwriters, musicians and beatmakers, comprised of Mags, SageS and Naïka Champaïgne.

The members of Strange Froots come from backgrounds of the same Black diaspora (including Haiti, Jamaica, Senegal and Ghana) as well as drastically different musical influences. Together they make music to encourage and to empower people everywhere, and to remind us that we’re not alone!
