During Tuesday’s mid-fiscal-year budget update, Quebec’s finance minister stated that the province will spend $2.2 billion until 2019 to improve infrastructure, healthcare and education.

According to CTV News, the provincial government would like to eliminate health taxes for all Quebecers by 2019.

Officials have stated that these new expenditures are quite reasonable since the province finally has its debt under control.

Former Ontario nurse, Elizabeth Tracey Mae Wettlaufer, has been charged with 8 counts of first degree murder.

CBC News reported that the 49 year old healthcare worker murdered her elderly patients at two different nursing homes between 2007 and 2014.

Police stated that Wettlaufer killed her patients using drugs and have not commented on any possible motives for her actions.

Forensic police are investigating the tragic accident that took place in Dreamworld: Australia’s largest theme park.

According to Reuters, four people were killed while trapped underneath an upturned raft on the Thunder River Rapids Ride.

Investigators and workplace safety authorities will be working closely with the state coroner to decide if any charges should be laid against the theme park’s management.
