Commissioner Jacques Viens ruled that allegations of SQ officers sexually assaulting Aboriginal women were permitted to be discussed at the inquiry into relations between Indigenous people and Quebec's justice system on Wednesday.

According to CBC News, the allegations were investigated by Montreal Police, but no charges were ever made.

Witnesses also testified about the racism and discrimination they face as well as the lack of education, medical assistance and justice provided to Indigenous people living off reserve

A thunderstorm damaged property, uprooted trees and left thousands of people without power in Southern Alberta on Thursday.

According to CTV News, several streets were flooded during the storm.

Citizens now have power and are working together to clean up the debris.

The United Nations is calling for an international investigation into the massacres that took place in the Democratic Republic of Congo's province of Kasai.

According to Reuters, the decapitated bodies of 40 policemen and 2 UN investigators were discovered in March.

Hundreds of people have been killed and at least a million people have been displaced by the violence.
