Wintersleep - 7/28/05

After performing a stripped down set for Hooked on Sonics earlier in the winter of 2005, Haligonians Wintersleep, whose sophomore record spent 3 consecutive weeks at #1 on the CJLO Top 30, returned to our studios July 28, 2005, and this time plugged in for a full electric band session. 

While last time we got the much requested new track “Weighty Ghost”, this time they gave us TWO brand new songs (including an early version of "Astronaut", which would appear on their follwing record, Welcome to the Night Sky two years after this session was recorded) and an amazing rendition of my personal Wintersleep fave, “Nerves Normal, Breath Normal”...it was pretty great.
