Gypsy Chief Goliath Live @ CJLO

Canada's Gypsy Chief Goliath made quite a splash at CJLO when they released their album New Machines of the Night last November. Fronted by Al Yeti Bones, from such groups as The Mighty Nimbus and Georgian Skull, the group is able to combine classic rock riffs played by Gypsy Dave along with some sweet harmonica from the Rev Brodie Stevenson.

CJLO gets HEAVY

Is your Tuesday night lacking in heaviness?  Well, CJLO is looking to change that.  Starting August 5th, the first Tuesday of every month is Heavy Night at McClean's Pub, located at 1210 Rue Peel.  CJLO DJs will be giving you all the heavy music you can handle, from punk to metal and everything in between.  Plus, there will be food and drink specials all night to keep the party rockin'.  So come on down to McLean's starting at 9PM and turn Tuesday into your favorite day of the week, from the station that knows heavy, CJLO.

Self-proclaimed Montreal free-sludge group, Amphibious Pariah, dropped by The Oven Studio @ CJLO to play their most recent set of intertwined filthy atmospheric jams for INTO THE COVEN radio show. They recently self-released this recording on cassette, here. These are very kind people playing very frightening music.

Motel Raphaël Live @ CJLO

Motel Raphaël is a young Indie-pop band from Montreal, led by Clara Legault, Emily Skahan and Maya Malkin. They have just debuted their very first studio album, Cable TV, which was entirely crowd funded by a very successful Indiegogo campaign. They love Montreal and are very proud to be part of its rich cultural tapestry.

Motel Raphael stopped by The Oven at CJLO Studios to perform live on Maiden Voyage. They treated us to the following acoustic track off of their new album, and then spoke candidly with Beansie on air.
